- No premium links/retweets. Everything we post on social is free to read. Period.
- Local. Local. Local. First and foremost. This should be the bulk of our feeds.
- Premium SA stories. This is our unique content — let’s show off our best stuff.
- Think shareable. This is how we reach people.
- FB blurbs = short & simple. People won’t read a paragraph or long sentence.
- Play up any local angles when posting wire stories.
- Columns/Editorials are great, but qualify statements/opinions w/ attribution.
- Add wire or Cumulus photos to social posts for stories that don’t have them.
- Facebook Live / upload SA videos / re-post ICYMI YouTube links in down hrs.
- Rewrite headlines … add context … add flare and be creative where appropriate.
- Use optimal timing for non-timely posts. Noon-6p good on FB; 3p-4p is peak.
- Sports blogs – particularly Warrior Beat (tag reporters on Twitter!).
- Post food stories and videos to Crave first.
- Share posts from Crave, Prep World, Warrior World (tag pages!).
- More rich media — single photo posts, mini galleries w/ links to related stories.
- National/global wire if it’s relevant to our audience.
- Wire sports without local angles only if they’re particularly good/relevant.
